Mother tongue – the soul, honor of the nation

February 21 was declared by UNESCO as International Mother Language Day. This date has been widely celebrated internationally since 2001. Mother tongue is the language of every nation, people, and nation. The vocabulary of the mother tongue mainly consists of words and concepts that express the life, culture, and traditions of the people belonging to this language. The development of the mother tongue is inextricably linked with the social development of every nation, people, and nation. The essence of the International Mother Language Day reflects the special love of each nation for its language, which is the core of its national thinking, spirituality, and spirit. Since this day is celebrated as a holiday of the mother tongue, on this occasion every person's feelings of love, respect, dignity and honor for their homeland and mother tongue are renewed.

The head of the Department of Latin and Foreign Languages ​​of the Tashkent State Dental Institute M. N. Isroilova and the professors and teachers of the department and students of the 101a group of higher nursing students organized a spiritual and educational event on February 21 - International Mother Language Day and Friday, "National Costumes". The event was attended by the Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine, Folk Medicine and Higher Education Nurses, N.S. Khashimova, tutor N.I. Muratova, and students. The students presented musical performances, attractive dances, poems in the native languages ​​of different nations and gave information about them. Language is an incomparable power that makes a person superior to all existence, the heart, soul, past, present, future, dreams and aspirations of a nation, the very essence of a nation, and as humanity develops, language development is also eternal. Every nation must preserve, cherish, and further enrich its native language as the apple of its eye. So that the next generation can inherit our native language, pure and enriched.
