7. Faculty qualification: 5510400 - The professional activities of bachelors in the field of dentistry include the following:

Development and implementation of preventive measures for diseases of the teeth and oral cavity that are widespread among the population.

Possession of theoretical and practical knowledge of performing dental procedures and their application in practice

Obtaining up-to-date knowledge on current diseases and problems in the field of dentistry and regularly updating them.

Application of modern standards of diagnostics and treatment of the oral cavity in practice.

     By the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-2215 dated July 22, 2014, the Tashkent State Dental Institute was established in accordance with the main directions of activity of the Tashkent State Dental Institute in order to train highly qualified personnel in the field of dentistry. The new institute is aimed at training highly qualified medical personnel and scientific specialists who meet modern requirements in the field of dentistry and advanced technologies of modern dentistry. For three academic years, the Faculty of Pediatric Dentistry operated as an independent faculty. Based on the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-5216 dated October 30, 2017 “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and by order of the rector of the Tashkent State Dental Faculty dated December 30, 2017 No. 779 / AF, the Faculty of Surgical Dentistry of the Institute was abolished and the departments of this faculty were abolished in accordance with the newly established and operating faculties of the institute. From January 2, 2018, the Faculty of Pediatric Dentistry began its work from the new academic year on the basis of the Faculty of Pediatric Dentistry. This order also introduced changes to the structure of the faculty, currently the following departments operate at the faculty:

• Department of Pediatric Therapeutic Dentistry;
• Department of Dental Disease Prevention;
• Department of Hospital Orthopedic Dentistry;
• Department of Histology and Medical Biology;
• Department of Medical and Biological Chemistry;
• Department of Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery;
• Department of Orthodontics and Dental Prosthetics;
• Department of Surgical Dentistry and Dental Implantology;

The forms of education based on state subsidies and payment contracts have been fully preserved.
